DAYTON, OHIO, December 12, 2013 - Your Better Business Bureau serving Dayton and the Miami Valley is pleased to announce an exciting, new feature on its Business Reviews. Now, not only can you turn to your BBB to check if a business is BBB Accredited, view its BBB rating, see its complaint history and look at or provide customer reviews, you can also let others know it’s a business you trust. In turn, this provides one more feature people can use to make purchasing decisions.
Your BBB’s Trust Button is easy to use. Simply, go to a company’s Business Review at your BBB’s Web site,dayton.bbb.org
. On the Business Review, you’ll see your BBB’s Trust Button, which is similar to Facebook’s like feature. You can click on the Trust Button to show your support for the organization. Once you click on the button, you’ll be asked to authenticate your action through your Facebook or Twitter account. This is to prevent anyone from clicking the Trust Button more than once. Your BBB’s Trust Button can only be clicked once per user. Each separate user who clicks the Trust Button will increment the trust count for the business by one.
In addition, once you trust a company, a post may appear on your social media timeline that you trust the company, which includes a link to the company’s BBB Business Review. You will also notice under the Trust Button a statement showing how many people have trusted the company.
John North, president and CEO of your BBB serving Dayton and the Miami Valley, says, “This new BBB Business Review element is helping the reviews evolve, making them even more useful, relevant and interactive. It’s a resource and tool people can use to help them spend their money wisely. We are excited to provide a way for people to express their trust in local organizations.”
